    One,Characteristics of cold forging process:
    1 it is cold heading at normal temperature conditions. Cold forging can make the mechanical properties of metal parts is improved.
    2 cold forging process can improve the material interest rate. It is based on the plastic deformation of the pressure processing method, can achieve less cutting or no cutting processing. General material utilization rate is above 85%, the maximum can reach more than 99%.
    3 can improve production efficiency. The time and process of deformation of metal products are relatively short, especially in the multi station forming machine parts, can greatly improve the productivity.
    4 cold forging process can improve product surface roughness, to ensure the accuracy of products.
     

    Two, cold forging process for raw materials
    1 the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the raw materials shall be in accordance with the relevant standards.
    2 raw materials must be carried out by the ball annealing treatment, the microstructure of the material is a spherical pearlite 4-6 grade.
    3. Raw material hardness, as far as possible in order to reduce the cracking tendency, improve the service life of the die is also asked for cold drawn material hardness of as low as possible to improve plasticity. General requirements for the hardness of raw materials in HB110~170 (HRB62-88).
